Royal Hall

Built in 1903 by Frank Matcham as a multi-purpose entertainment space for the rich and famous visitors to Harrogate's spa, this magnificent building is the definitive location for an unforgettable event.
 
The Royal Hall's breathtaking design is derived from the great ballrooms of imperial Europe combined with British theatrical elements.

Seating

Fixed theatre style seating, capacity 1100 with up to 16 wheelchair positions, 500 seats are removable to create a large dance floor.

Stage

Permanent stage 9.85m wide x 11.7m deep x 1.2m high with 1 in 40 rake.  Double purchase, counterweight system with 18 bars. Package of stage drapes, stage carpeting, lectern and top table units included.

Access

From Ripon Road via side entrances and ramp. Minimum dimension on get in route is 2.0m high x 1.2m wide.

Audio Visual

Large screen data projection facilities including Powerpoint PC's are provided.

Lighting

The Royal Hall is lit by tungsten lighting dimmed over three areas.  A package of comprehensive stage lighting facilities is provided using moving lights and follow spots.

Sound
