"I am part of the organising team of LABBS that recently held
their very successful Convention at HIC. Can you please pass on my
grateful thanks to two of your departments:
HIC Technical Team:
Your Technical Team has worked for us on a number of occasions and
their skill, professionalism and willingness has made our
Conventions run so smoothly. They were always willing to help out
wherever they could and to assist with last minute changes and
requests. The nature of our shows means that some of the technical
areas such as sound and lighting have to be busked on the day and
your Team were able to do this admirably, and many of the audience
were unaware that the lighting states were unscripted and were down
to your Team's expertise.
A special mention to the sound guys on the Saturday night who were
able to rig at short notice and in very quick time for our main
guests whose equipment wasn't available until two hours before the
show. All of the LX, Sound and Stage Management teams were so
helpful and professional that it made my job so much easier and the
end result such a slick operation.
Front of House:
A special mention for the Front of House team who were so helpful
in co-ordinating the front of house cover for us. They were always
friendly, willing and had a smile, (despite trying to get rid of
the stragglers after the bar had closed). For us (as amateurs) to
organise and run a Convention on such a scale is always a struggle
and the helpfulness of venue staff makes the
whole process an awful lot easier and ensured that delegates had
the best experience that we could offer them.
HIC has always been our preferred venue, for many reasons, to hold
Conventions and once again you have done us proud. We look forward
to returning in 2011."

"The team at the Royal Hall, both Technical and Front of
House, were exceptional - courteous, professional and nothing was
too much trouble. The band (Illegal Eagles), and crew had a great
day - voted the best of the tour so far and it'll take some going
for another venue to beat the standard set yesterday. Ross,
Mark and James had everything prep'd and in place for us
technically on arrival and Darren & the FOH the same. Added to
that was the lovely environment of a Matcham theatre and a great
Harrogate audience. The band and crew have asked me to pass on
their thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable time and that they look
forward to returning sooner rather than later."

organisation in relation to my experience during the Home and Gift
Fair. Your staff were first rate and extremely helpful at all
times, in particular Hall Q staff who were excellent. I should
