HIC Secure IPC for Two Years
Release date: 13th June 2008
Harrogate International Centre are delighted to announce their
venue will host the 2009 annual conference and exhibition on behalf
of their new client the Infection Prevention Society. Formerly the
Infection Control Nurses Association, the newly formed society has
chosen Harrogate for their inaugural conference and exhibition to
be held in September this year and have signed contracts for 2009
in order to secure their favoured dates of 21-22 September.
The Society promotes patient and public safety through control of
infection. This year's seminar papers cover topics such as
hand hygiene, resistant organisms and infection control practices.
Three full days of seminar programming will attract over 400
delegates whilst the exhibition has over 100 specialist
exhibitors.
HIC Director, Stuart Quin, said, "We are very proud to secure
this conference and exhibition. The scientific nature of the event
brings specialists together to network and discuss important issues
in this wonderful spa town environment."
The IPS exhibitions will take place in HIC's Hall Q where a
dedicated support team co-ordinates shell schemes, fitting out,
catering, signage, technical provision and even cleaning. The
adjoining Kings Suite is one of three halls delivering conferencing
papers, along with Hall D and the award winning Queens Suite, which
can be sub-divided into ten individual, yet completely acoustically
secure rooms.
"The Infection Prevention Society is pleased to return to
Harrogate in 2009 and looks forward to attracting its members and
exhibitors to an exciting educational experience," said Martin
Kiernan who will be president of IPS in 2009. "It is a popular
venue for this type of event with a good supply of hotels, and
restaurants within easy walking distance of the conference
centre."
