An Evening with
Jack Jones and his 18 Piece Big Band
Release Date: 14th March 2008
Jack Jones appears at Harrogate International Centre
on Friday 16 May when he brings his 50th anniversary tour
to town. Jack Jones is the double Grammy-winning easy listening
giant nominated by Frank Sinatra as "one of the major singers of
our time." His consistently sold-out world tours and fifty recorded
albums are a testimony to the breadth and quality of his remarkable
talent, which has been admired by - among others - Sinatra, Mel
Torme and legendary composers Sammy Cahn and Michel Legrand.
With his own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Jones'
impressive CV includes film and television roles, an
internationally syndicated TV variety show, guest performances at
Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Centre and the White House.
His swinging renditions of contemporary pop and rock, as well
as classic standards have packed out UK tour dates time and time
again, with Jones charming audiences with his wit, sensitivity and
vocal power. With the music industry witnessing a new golden era of
stars from the easy listening tradition, Jones' 2008 tour is set to
be a giant success.
