D'Nile to play The Royal Hall
Release Date: 29th
February
Harrogate based indie-rock band, D'Nile, will be the first band to
play at the Royal Hall on Friday 16th May. Liam Gray (vocals),
Steve Mosby (lead guitar), Andy Mosby (bass), Jason Baldwin
(guitar), and Andy Kearns (drums) rapidly gained success throughout
2007, mesmerising new fans with every performance.
In a meeting of two like-minded musicians, the rugged vocals
of popular singer Liam Gray, and the brilliance of Steve Mosby's
free-flowing guitar provided an unmissable opportunity to form the
beginning of something special. Having previously lent his talents
to his former band, Liam was part of the same record label as Take
That's Mark Owen, during his solo interlude. Steve's prior
achievements are just as impressive, having played on the Sugababes
Club Mix 2003 version of "Too Lost in You", and jammed with none
other than Squeeze frontman Glenn Tilbrook. The final pieces of the
D'Nile puzzle came together when Andy Kearns, who previously played
alongside The Specials and Sad Cafe, was recruited, along with
enthusiastic young guitarists Andy Mosby and Jason Baldwin.
D'Nile are not shy of playing big venues, having already
played at The Cavern in Liverpool, York Grand Opera House and
Harrogate International Centre's auditorium where they attracted a
crowd of over 900. The band will shortly be touring Scotland and
also have gigs booked in Newcastle and Hull before they line up at
the Royal Hall.
On the back of their widespread and instant success the band
have recently recorded five tracks including the much loved ballads
"Crazy" and "Miss You", both produced by Will Jackson of Kaiser
Chiefs and Pigeon Detectives fame. D'Nile write most of their own
music and have plans to record further tracks in March. To listen
