HIC at Confex - Day 1
Release Date:
February 12th 2008
Harrogate International Centre had a captive audience on Day 1 of
the 2008 CONFEX show when actor Mark Charnock, of Emmerdale farm,
officially opened the HIC stand B130.
The new stand design, which took six months to develop, caused
a notable stir amongst fellow exhibitors. Features of the
2008 HIC stand include a 3D model of central Harrogate, detailing
the 8 exhibition halls, the auditorium and the recently restored
Royal Hall. The 3D model also illustrates Harrogate's unique claim
of offering exhibitors and delegates excellent hotel accommodation
and after hours haunts, all within easy walking distance of the
exhibition halls.
With a £48m redevelopment scheme due to take place over
the next six years, CONFEX is also proving the perfect launch pad
for detailed discussion about the proposed new and improved
facilities incorporated in the scheme, and the real benefits for
event organisers. Not least being the additional 2,000 sq m of
exhibition space taking HIC's total exhibition space to 18,500 sq
m.
The DVD recording of the Royal Hall reopening by HRH The
Prince of Wales in January ran in a loop throughout the day with
expressions of interest for venue hire high on the list of the
day's enquiries. Not only is the 'golden palace' of significant
national historical importance, the venue offers yet another unique
opportunity to attract a captive audience.
Day 2 of CONFEX is expected to be just as bustling with
pre-booked appointments and many more expressions of interest for
the Experience Harrogate offer. The Sales Team will once again be
lead by Jane Nicholls supported by our catering partner Kudos,
representatives from the hoteliers group Destination Harrogate, and
our accommodation booking service team.
Experience Harrogate at stand B130, you wont be
disappointed.
