Sun Pavilion Fund Raising Lunch A Success!
Over 120 Event Organiser's and company PA's from across the
region attended a charity fund-raising lunch at the Sun Pavilion on
Thursday 15th November. The lunch was an opportunity to
showcase this 1930's building as an ideal events venue, as well as
raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
With guest speaker Georgey Spanswick, and a sumptuous lunch
provided by Kudos Hospitality, the venue caterers, the event was a
huge success with well over £800 raised for Marie Curie
Cancer Care, and many of the guests enquiring about the possibility
of hosting events at the Sun Pavilion.
The Sun Pavilion received lottery funding to sensitively
restore the building to its former 1930's art deco splendour,
including a parquet dance floor and the unusual glass-domed roof
intricately worked with ornate, stained glass designs. Overlooking
Harrogate's Grade II listed Valley Gardens clients can add style to
their event with a band in the bandstand, and pre dinner or coffee
break drinks on the colonnades. The facility can host banquets and
dinners for up to 150 people and conferences for up to 200
delegates.
