Cisco Exam Success
Top Score at Harrogate International Centre
26 September 2007
Ali Al Astal, IT Network Engineer at Harrogate International
Centre, achieved an outstanding result in the Cisco Systems
networking exam, the Cisco Certified Network Associate level, this
week when he achieved a rare and distinguished 100% pass mark. Ali
attended a five-day residential course in May and since then has
devoted two hours a day studying for this highly technical and
industry recognised exam.
Harrogate International Centre installed a Cisco based client
network system last year, and has invested in specialist training
to deliver the best the network system can provide to meet all our
client requirements, and indeed to surpass their
expectations.
US based Cisco is the market leader in multiple computer
networking systems such as routing and switching, unified
communications, wireless and security, and has over 47,000
employees worldwide. The company offer Cisco
Career Certifications to professionals in the networking field and
they sponsor Networking Academies in over 150 countries. Ali's exam
consisted of four elements, planning and design, implementation and
operations, troubleshooting and technology.
41 year old Ali worked at St John Fisher Catholic High School
in Harrogate, in the IT support team before joining HIC in June
2006. Before this Ali spent six years achieving
a diploma and then a Masters degree at Hamburg University in
Engineering and Electronics.
Ali also has a flair for languages and is fluent in Spanish,
Rumanian, German, Arabic and English, a real boon for Harrogate
International Centre when working with international clients. He
hopes to take up Russian in the near future as well as working
towards Cisco's final level networking exam to achieve Partner
status.
