National Venue Show
HIC Focuses on the Future at this year's National Venue
Show
17 September 2007
Visit the HIC stand (L41) at the National Venue Show at the
NEC, Birmingham 25 27 September 2007 and meet the team from one of
the UK's largest venues. Find out about HIC's vision for the
future - a £45m plan for redeveloping the exhibition
halls, which will increase exhibition space to 18,500m2.
Discuss the enormous impact and potential opportunities of the
project with Business Development Manager, John Wood.
HIC has recently expanded its venues portfolio acquiring the
prestigious art deco style Sun Pavilion with its domed stained
glass roof set in the Grade II listed Valley Gardens. This is a
smaller character venue suitable for corporate hospitality, product
launches, seminars and banqueting.
Also in the portfolio is the famous Royal Hall (circa 1903),
which is nearing completion of a £10m restoration programme
including the extensive gold leaf detail, which led it to be known
in its heyday as a "glittering palace of gold". Visit our stand to
find out more about the Hall's 1,100 theatre style seating capacity
and its versatility for events and functions of all kinds.
HIC held 75 exhibition and conference events (trade and
public) in 2006, in addition to 43 entertainment events in the
2,000 seat auditorium, generating more than £200m in business
and holiday tourism spend.
