Gouthwaite Farm: A Dales Farm Walk

We offer a further opportunity to visit John Rayner's superb Gouthwaite Farm. With stunning views of the reservoir, and so much to see, we haven't room to list it all. This walk is unmissable.
Refreshments provided after the walk with donations to Wath Chapel.

Lead Mine Walk

A unique chance to explore the Gilfield Mine with geologist Shirley Everett. This walk is almost entirely underground and as such is not for the claustrophobic. There is some climbing of ladders involved. Dress is wellingtons and waterproofs.
£10.00 No children under 12 years. Children 14 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult. This walk is attended at your own risk.

A visit to Hanson's Coldstones Quarry with a guided tour and an explanation of how it is worked. Strong shoes or boots are essential and adequate clothing for the weather, which can change very rapidly.  Minimum age is ten years and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Dame Joan Bakewell

TV presenter, journalist, newsreader, actress, Joan Bakewell has done it all. From her appearances in Late Night Line Up in 1965 to her appointment as Dame Commander of the British Empire in 2008, she has led a fascinating life.
Currently the Government spokeswoman for older people, Dame Joan is one of this country's most popular presenters.
