symphony orchestras in Berlin, famous for their series of concerts
in the Philharmonic Hall of their home city.  Under the direction of Massimo Quarta, one of Europe's most dynamic and exciting young conductors, the orchestra will be performing a popular programme of Beethoven, including the majestic Emperor Concerto and the
delightful Pastoral Symphony.  This promises to be a spectacular finale to the 2009 Festival.
